Your welcome at the Barion Hotel will be enhanced by the fragrances and aromas of Apulian specialities, the pride of a region that is known worldwide for its culinary tradition.

In this magnificently bounteous land, the typical products are the natural continuation of a journey into purity: from the grain of this region comes our Altamura bread, from the olives that enrich our landscape comes the extra-virgin olive oil that makes every dish a delicacy, from our milk comes Murgesi burrata and mozzarellas, to name but a few of the traditional specialities that you can enjoy in our two restaurants.

At the Barion there is an indoor Restaurant available that is open every day for dinner from 19:30 to 22:00 and that serves lunch on request, or the Terrace, a restaurant that is only open during summer and an elegant location to enjoy the tantalising suggestions of the chef and where you can gaze out onto the horizon, where the sea seems to become one with the sky.

Do you want to savour some delicious dishes, prepared according to age-old Apulian recipes? At our restaurant you will find a whole range of excellent dishes and products from regional cuisine, like Strascinati pasta with turnip greens, orecchiette pasta with pork ragù, the baked tiella of rice, potatoes and mussels, and the Martina Franca capocollo cold cut salume.

The restaurant’s wine list includes a selection of the best local labels, like Negroamaro and Primitivo: strong red wines to go with pasta dishes, red meats and mature cheeses. The sober elegance of the décor and the impeccable service of our dining room staff make this restaurant a welcoming space for those who really appreciate the beauty of a restaurant setting and the quality of the dishes.

Our restaurant can accommodate up to 220 people and is the perfect embodiment of a journey in pursuit of the delicacies of this land.

The Terrace

Every day our chefs offer a Mediterranean menu adorned with exquisite dishes that make Puglia an absolute favourite destination for food lovers. The traditional dishes of our local cuisine are simply delightful: the base ingredients, carefully selected by the chefs, really enhance quality of the food that you can enjoy while admiring the romantic views of the Barion terrace.

Here you will discover the variety of our regional cuisine: from maltagliati (irregularly shaped fresh pasta) to the orecchiette pasta, from mozzarella to burrata, from brasciole (horse or veal roulades) to seafood, and culminating in homemade pastries like sporcamussi (filled cream cakes), bocconotti (stuffed sweet pastries), and pasticciotti (custard cream pies) served with traditional liqueurs, rosolio, limoncello and nocino. The terrace is also a great setting for summer cocktails: what better experience could there be than sipping a drink with a gently setting sun with the horizon in the background?
