The city of Bari

Torre Guaceto Natural reserve

The Torre Guaceto marine nature reserve is located in Puglia, and more precisely along the Adriatic coast of upper Salento, not too many kilometers away from Carovigno and Brindisi. It occupies a stretch of coast that goes from Punta Penna Grossa to the rocks of Apani, and in this area, on the mainland, there is the homonymous state natural reserve. For several years this area has been considered protected for its naturalistic interest: fauna and flora are perfectly preserved here, thanks to the enormous commitment made by the consortium that manages the oasis. In particular, sandy bottoms and marine flora constitute an ecosystem in perfect balance, which allows the proliferation of numerous animal species.
